Harry and William are apparently texting again

William addressed Harry's Oprah interview publicly for the first time last week.

Prince Harry and William are apparently texting again after almost a year of supposedly having no contact.

The brothers, whose relationship has been rocky at best for a few years, have reportedly exchanged some texts regarding a new statue honouring their late mother, Diana.

The Sun reports that the pair have been in contact to discuss Harry's return to the UK later this year to attend the unveiling of a Princess Diana statue on what would have been her 60th birthday.

"William and Harry are as far apart as it’s possible to be—emotionally and physically," a source told the publication. "Their relationship is at rock bottom. William’s raging with Harry after the Oprah interview.

“He is so angry with him that it’s totally unthinkable at the moment for them to be happily reunited and stood together at the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue. It’ll take a lot of work to patch things up so they can put on united front.”

This comes a little under a week after William told Sky News that the royal family is "very much" not racist, and that he had yet to contact his brother following the airing of his Oprah interview.

"We are very much not a racist family," he said.

At the time, William added that although he had yet to speak to Harry following the release of the interview, he intends to. "I haven't spoken to him yet but I plan too," he said.

Harry and Meghan's interview led many questions and concerns about the royal family, including the alleged conversation that was had about what the couple's kids would "look like."

Meghan, who is currently pregnant with her second child, said that "conversations" were had between Harry and other members of the royal family about the colour of Archie's skin before he was born.

Meghan, who is mixed race, said that she had “several conversations” with members of the “family” on the topic.

“About how dark your baby is going to be?” asked Oprah. “Potentially,” said Meghan, “and what that would mean or look like.”

When Oprah asked which members of the family raised the supposed issue, Meghan said she wouldn't name any names: "I think that would be very damaging to them."

Meghan discussed the racism she experienced as a member of the family candidly in the interview, stating that when she was discriminated against in the press, she received no help from "the Firm."

“It was all happening just because I was breathing,” she said. “I just didn’t want to be alive any more. That was a clear, real, frightening and constant thought.”
