She said it's completely normal in their house

Stacey Solomon has defended parents who bathe with their teenagers – and admitted she still shares a tub with her two sons.

The former X Factor said on Loose Women that she regularly bathes with her sons Zachary, nine, and Leighton, five.

Viewers were asked on the popular TV show whether or not they think it’s okay for parents to share a bath with their teenage kids.

But after 92 percent said it was “wrong”, Stacey said it was normal in their house.

She compared it to “having dinner and reading bedroom stories” in their household.

She said:

“I’m not horrified at all.

“Anyone who’s horrified at the thought of parents sharing a bath with their children I think has issues. It’s each to their own.

“I still have baths with my children – my eldest is nine.

“Sometimes he’s like, ‘Oh put the bubbles over your boobs mother, I don’t want to see it!’

“But at the same time, why does the body always have to be looked at as some sexual thing?

“Why can’t it just be the human body?

“It’s a normal thing in our house, it’s almost like having dinner and reading bedroom stories.

“Having a bath is how we socialise and communicate, and it’s a normal part of our daily routine.”

The singer sparked controversy earlier this year when she shared a snap of herself in the bathtub with her two sons.

She captioned the Mother’s Day snap:

“Isn’t being a mum just the best thing in the world. Even when they’re shooting you in the face with their water pistols ?

“happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful Mothers, grandmothers, careers, aunties, sisters, best friends you’re all mothers in my eyes, one way or another! ?”

But some social media users were quick to remark that the photo was “wrong on so many levels”.

Meanwhile, others rushed to defend her – saying it was “the cutest thing ever”.
