Family dynamics

This teen brought her three-year-old brother to class and it’s lovely

Ah, look.

Jade Hayden

It was for a very good reason.

When mum Candice Curry had a family emergency, she messaged her daughter Stiles and asked her to pick up her three-year-old son from daycare.

Stiles did just that, but instead of bringing her brother home as Candice assumed she would, she brought him straight back to class.

Toddler James then spent the rest of day napping while 17-year-old Stiles finished her last class of the day.

Candice took to Facebook to share her surprise when she saw a picture of James asleep on his sister’s lap.

But it wasn’t long before her surprise turned to praise of her daughter’s “sweet” actions.

Candice wrote:

“We had a family emergency type situation today that required our teenager to leave school early and pick up her little brother from his school. I thought she took him home until I saw her Snapchat.
Instead of missing class she actually took her three-year-old brother back to high school with her and let him sleep on her while she finished her last class of the day.

I’m not sure on the legalities here or what kind of rules were broken but I also just don’t care. My sweet teenager helped her family out and returned to her other responsibility while snuggling her baby brother.

I’m either the worst mom in the world or totally nailing it. Please don’t tell me which one , let me live in ignorant bliss while I stare at this picture.

Life is short. These are the moments that make it so incredibly sweet.”

The post has since received over 2,000 likes and 200 comments.

People are wasting no time congratulating mum Candice on raising an incredible daughter and reassuring her that, no, she is definitely not the worst mom in the world.

One Facebook user said that she “must be doing something right” because she doesn’t know many teenagers who would do this.

Another said that Stiles is “truly amazing” for doing what she did.

Candice has replied to many of the comments herself, thanking people for her kind words.

She has certainly done a pretty decent job of bringing up her kids.
