TG4 is looking for Ireland’s most talented family for a new show

Know anyone who'd be perfect for this?

Anna O'Rourke

Do you come from a family where everyone was made to get up in front of the fireplace and do a party piece for the visitors at Christmas?

Does your mother still have your Feis trophy from 1992 proudly on display at home?

Do you insist on your own kids performing the new routine they learned at dance class during the week for their granny when she comes to visit?

Do ye participate in epic sing-songs on long car journeys, with each of ye singing different parts?

TG4 is looking for Ireland's most talented family for a new show

Well, ye could be perfect for a new TV show on TG4.

The station wants to find Ireland’s most talented family and make them a household name.

There are no restrictions on the type of act, so whether your dad and granddad are dab-hands at the fiddle or yourself and your kids are dancing queens, all that matters is that ye’re related and up for performing together.

“Irish families have made their mark across the world, whether it’s the pop music of The Corrs or the sean-nós dancing of the Cunninghams,” say TG4.

“Now it’s time to find the next family that will entertain the nation.”

There’s no need to worry if ye’re not the best Gaeilgeoirs either – conversational Irish is a bonus but not essential.

Groups must include at least two people and all must be immediately related to one another (ie, grandparents/ parents/ children). The competition is open to all ages.

To apply, send a short video of your act to the show’s WhatsApp – 083 0580229.

You can also email your video to Fiona on Fiona.nicheirin@gmail.com.

Go n’éirí an t-ádh libh!
