Prince Harry was left way more money in the Queen Mother’s will than Prince William

Olivia Hayes

It’s odd – but it’s also kinda thoughtful.

It has come to light that Prince Harry was left more money than Prince William in the Queen Mother’s will, which sounds a bit odd when you first hear it, right?

Years before Queen Elizabeth’s mother died, she left a large sum of money into a trust fund for all of her great grandchildren.

William and Harry received around £14m, however Harry got a much larger sum of the money, according to the BBC.

But while you may think that there was a rift between the Queen Mother and William – there wasn’t one at all, and it turns out that she was just trying to be fair to her great grandchildren.

When Queen Elizabeth dies, it is presumed that Prince Charles will become king, and therefore Prince William will become the new Prince of Wales.

With that, he will take on the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate which funds the public, charitable and private activities of the heir to the throne.

Automatically, Prince Harry won’t receive any of this.

Therefore, the Queen Mother wanted to be a bit fairer to Harry so she gave him more money in her will. Sound.
