Married couple’s trapeze stunt went very wrong on America’s Got Talent last night and oh, god

Not ideal.

Being a trapeze artist is difficult.

Like, really difficult. Like, we definitely couldn’t do it ourselves even though we’re really talented at other things because it’s really difficult.

Arguably, one of the most difficult things about being a trapeze artist is keeping your balance.

And not falling. And not maiming yourself. Or dying.

Yeah, those will do it.

Luckily enough, the couple on America’s Got Talent last night didn’t die or maim themselves, but one of them did fall from a considerable height and it was a slight bit of a disaster, really.

Duo Transcend – married couple Mary and Tyce – were doing all their trapeze-y bits suspended above the judges and a load of fire (why not?) when things went from ideal to… less than ideal.

Tyce was supposed to catch Mary by her ankles but instead she slipped out of his grasp and tumbled to the ground.

Everyone was, as you can imagine, shook.

See? Very shook.

Thankfully though, Mary did land on a safety mat so she wasn’t injured. Just shook and probably a bit annoyed at her husband for dropping her.

Typical men (that was a joke).

The judges didn’t really seem to mind all that much though because they sent the pair through anyway – on one condition.

That they talc themselves up better next time.
