6 places to get boujie takeaway in Dublin over the next few weeks

Cassie Stokes

Lockdown is back in Dublin and so are delicious takeaways from restaurants.

The restaurant industry has really felt a huge hit over the last while so it’s important to support our local restaurants and show them love by stopping by and getting a delicious takeaway.

No I’m not talking normal takeaways like your chippers although they area equally as yummy, I’m talking about ones a little nicer. Fancy date night dinners but in the comfort of your own home.

There are a few spots around Dublin where you can get your hands on some top class meals and fancy wine to go with it. So if you’re having a dinner party for two over the next 3 weeks then you might want to stop by one of these places listed below.

Host

One of the busiest restaurants in Dublin has once again had to close its doors and start doing takeaway or “Host at home” as they call it. They offer some favourites from the popular menu for you to bring home and reheat and serve just like you’re in the restaurant. And they also have a brilliant selection of wines you might also want to check out for takeaway.

Franks

One of the coolest new restaurants to hit Dublin City, Franks, it’s almost impossible to book a table. And now since their doors are shut it’s even harder! But what you can do here is support them by ordering some other wines and cheese picnic boxes to your door, or popping in to collect them.

A favourite in Ranelagh has had to go back to takeaway only, as they have no space outside their restaurant to set up tables. Last lockdown their takeaway service was a huge success – some nights it even sold out.

So if you want to get a delicious Asian takeaway then you should book your order early enough.

777

You can’t usually get a table in 777 so it’s nice to have the option to takeaway. This lockdown, they are back doing their at-home takeaway boxes perfect for a date night at home. I tried it and can confirm it’s delicious Mexican in your house, the kit has you covered for everything. They even do takeaway cocktails – yum.

Camden Kitchen

Located off Camden street this place is usually the perfect date night with its cute ambience but since they have had to close their indoor seating they still offer a set menu available from Thursday to Sunday fo collection from 5pm.

Pi Pizza

This is the boujiest of the pizza places, so if you want a fancy delicious pizza then hit up Pi. The pizzas are just as good when you get them home too.

Sorted.
