Aldi Has Recalled These Popular Biscuits

Katie Mythen-Lynch

Discount supermarket Aldi is recalling a batch of its ginger nut biscuits after concerns were raised over the cleanliness of the factory where they are made.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) confirmed Baketime Ltd. is recalling the biscuits on a precautionary basis “as they have been manufactured in unhygienic conditions”.

The FSAI said point-of-sale notices should be displayed in stores where the affected batches were sold requesting customers who have bought these batches to return them to an Aldi store.

The recall affects Belmont Biscuits Ginger Nuts (300g) product code: 43320 with the following batch numbers:

  • L16047
  • L16048
  • L16061
  • L16062
  • L16068
  • L16069

While a number of other items sold exclusively in Aldi’s British stores are also being recalled, no other products or batch codes are affected by this recall in Ireland.
