Behold The Fried Maltella: (Your January Diet Ends Here)

The thing about desserts you’ve dreamed about is that sometimes they manifest in real life. 

The proof of this is in the latest decadent pudding to burst out of my imagination and into existence: the Fried Maltella.

What’s a Fried Maltella, you ask? Oh, just a grapefruit-sized ball of smooth Nutella and vanilla icecream, covered in crushed Malteasers, deep-fried to create a crispy shell and smothered in salted caramel sauce to serve. That’s all.

The creation is the work of the geniuses at Sydney Café Piccolo Me, which is serving the World’s biggest ice cream ball, a casual nine billion calories per serving, for one week only from January 25.

Café co-founder Roy Hachem told The Daily Telegraph:

“It’s a bit of a pain to make, it’s very time consuming so we’ve got a smaller version available at many of our stores already which are going like hot cakes. We actually sold 3000 in one week.”

The Fried Maltella, which takes an average of six people to consume, will be available for one week only at $20.

 “We are expecting to have 100 available,” Roy concluded.
