Cheese-filled hot cross buns exist and we need to make them ASAP

Jade Hayden

Salivating right now, wbu?

It’s almost Easter and you know what that means!! – chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate.

Honestly, there’s one food that’ll come to your mind when you think about Easter and it’s chocolate, nothing else even comes close.

The hot cross bun is there, kind of, but it’s in the background, simply not as popular a treat as its cocoa-based egg-shaped friend.

Add cheese to that bad boy though and you’ve got a whole different story.

That’s exactly what food company Grill My Cheese have done too… and God if we aren’t absolutely delighted they’ve done it too.

Look at that lad, like. Absolute unit.

Grill my Cheese are selling their cheesey hot cross buns in Selfridges in London, so we won’t actually be able to purchase that exact one ourselves.

But honestly, they don’t look that difficult to make so we’re sure we could try our hand at it.

This particular cheese bun includes brie, salted caramel, and (we’re guessing) a load of butter – you can absolutely whip that up and stick it under the grill yourself in fairness.

And we will be too.

If you do happen to be over in London from March 19 though, you may as well pop into the lads because this cheesy bun isn’t the only item on their menu.

They’ll also be selling a literal rainbow toastie, a grilled mac and cheese, and a signature cheese blend with bechamel sauce.

Sounds divine, tbh.
