This delicious smoothie might just be the best hangover cure you've ever had

We feel you.
Hangovers are definitively worse as we get older, and having to deal with serious morning after fears and an upset stomach while also having to get up and make toast and watch Paw Patrol for the nine thousandth time; well; it ain't all it's cracked up to be.
However, should you be feeling a little fragile there yourself, we might have something that will help. (No, we won't come and babysit your kids for your, but hear us out; this is almost as good, we swear).
Say hello to The Ultimate Hangover Smoothie, a drink so good for you it'll have you back on your feet in no-time.
It contains coconut oil, which is extremely nourishing and will help to balance blood sugar. Ginger helps to reduce motion sickness and inflammation in the gut, and unprocessed sea salt will add extra minerals and trace elements to the smoothie. Oh, and the greens will help to alkalise and detoxify the body even more, as well as provide quality vitamins and minerals.
In other words; just what your poor body needs after a night on margaritas and rosé.
- ½ cup filtered water, or cold herbal tea
- ½ small cucumber
- ½ avocado
- ½ lemon, juice
- 1 cup frozen mangoes
- 1 Tbsp raw honey, optional
- 1 tsp extra-virgin coconut oil
- Small knob of ginger
- Pinch cinnamon
- Pinch Himalayan or Celtic sea salt
- Big handful of spinach (or kale if you prefer)
- Hemp seeds, to garnish, optional
In a high-speed blender, starting with the liquids, put everything together and blend until nice and smooth.
