The frozen yogurt snack treat that we’re going to be trying with the kids this weekend

Melissa Carton

This looks delish.

With the rain showing no signs of stopping any time soon, it’s looking like we’ll be spending a lot of time indoors this weekend.

With that in mind there’s really no better time to try out new recipes.

This frozen yogurt snack treat recipe really caught our eye during the week and is definitely something that we will be trying with the kids over the weekend.

Posted by VintageVixen2188, this delicious recipe is super simple and requires no baking (hurrah).

To make this yummy, fun treat you will need:

  • Yogurt

  • Fruit

  • Sprinkles

  • Chocolate chips

  • A freezer safe dish

  • Baking paper

  • Clingfilm

To start lay baking paper in the tray or dish that you will be using.

Then pour in the yogurt of your choice and spread it evenly in the dish making sure it’s entirely covered before adding the rest of your ingredients.

Then chop up the fruit you would like to add and then sprinkle it generously over the layer of yogurt.

Afterwards add the sprinkles and chocolate chips (or whatever kind of topping your kids like best)

When all of that is done the only thing left to do is pop it in the freezer to set.

Once it has hardened cut it up into slices to enjoy with crackers, biscuits or maybe even some ice-cream.

Also if you make a big tray of it you can always keep some for the following day or even for a school lunch treat during the week.

It’s a really simple recipe but the kids are sure to love helping to make it and of course, love tucking into a slice after it is made.
