Castle Leslie is offering a drive-through afternoon tea for Mother’s Day

Cathy Donohue

Castle Leslie is offering a drive-through afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and it’s certainly a creative way to celebrate the occasion.

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, 22 March and there will be a lot of people in Ireland who won’t be able to see their Mams on the day due to the escalation of the Covid-19 virus.

Businesses are doing their best to facilitate with extended opening hours/online deliveries and where possible, it’s extremely important to support and buy Irish at this time.

As a result of the coronavirus, Castle Leslie in Co Mongahan is closed at the moment but they plan to offer a drive-through afternoon tea this Sunday.

Their team has ensured that self-distancing and best practice rules are observed so you have to buy your voucher online in advance.

You can do so here and there are two options to choose from, €40 for two people or  €90 for four (which includes a bottle of bubbles).

The menu, read in full below, sounds delicious (a Baileyx choux bun!!!)

On Sunday, you’ll present your voucher at the entrance to the hotel, drive through to the hotel and collect your afternoon tea which you’ll enjoy in the comfort of your home.

Seeing as afternoon tea is such a popular activity, we imagine there be quite a demand for these vouchers.
