Look, we know it’s pretty early to be talking about Christmas.
But – and yes, acknowledging that there are more than 100 days to go – with the arrival of autumn we are gently beginning to consider the delights of the festive season.
In particular, step forward Sipsmith Distillery gin – which has just announced that it will be delivering sets of six baubles filled with its tipple from early November.
Priced at £25 (€27.30), the London-based brand says that “those that visited the Sipsmith Distillery last Christmas may remember our Christmas tree’s branches laden with ginny decorations.
“Not only did these decorations look wonderfully festive – they also tasted pretty fantastic too.”
The set comes with six X 50ml bottles complete with a Sipsmith ribbon to tie to a tree all displayed in a presentation box.
Sipsmith says it is taking orders now for delivery in two months’ time, but a scour of the terms and conditions reveals that – devo! – it currently only delivers within the UK.
However, a number of outlets in Ireland – including Baggot Street Wines, drinkstore.ie, and Celtic Whiskey Shop – do regularly stock the brand and may also receive deliveries of the gin Christmas baubles.
