These healthy almond flour brownies are perfect for the kids (and you)

Eating healthy?

Listen, a lot of us went overboard at Christmas, eating every chocolate bar and roast dinner in sight. And now, many of us are on a bit of a health kick, trying to eat as clean as possible and exercise as much as we can.

However, if we totally cut out all the goodness in our lives (i.e. sweet food) we think we would combust. So, we came across these fudgy, yet healthy brownies on Delish and have not looked back since.

Here’s the recipe if you want to give them a go:

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180° and line a 8″-x-8″ baking pan with parchment paper and grease with cooking spray. In a large bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, almond flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together almond butter, coconut sugar, honey, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Add dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  3. Pour into prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean, 22 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with sea salt then let cool slightly before serving.
