Here’s how to make the best Aperol Spritz ever (it’s so easy!)

So, I know we all LOVE gin, but this summer has been a real moment for Aperol.

Refreshing, tangy and very photogenic (a necessity these days), you just can’t beat an Aperol Spritz.

And as much as I love them, I realised today that I have NO idea what’s actually in them.

Or how they’re made at all.

So, I figured I’d track down the perfect recipe, and share it with all you gorgeous humans.

Side note – have you ever wondered the flavour behind Aperol?

Apparently Aperol is an infusion of herbs and roots with two of its most distinctive flavours being oranges and rhubarb.

Perfect for the sunny weekend that we’ve been promised!

Here’s how to achieve the PERFECT Aperol Spritz…

What you’ll need:

  • A bottle of chilled Prosecco
  • A bottle of Aperol
  • Soda water
  • Balloon glasses
  • Ice cubes

What you’ll do:

  • Fill the glasses generously with cubed ice
  • Combine Prosecco followed by Aperol in equal parts
  • Add a splash of soda
  • Garnish with a slice of orange.
