Ireland’s best Chinese takeaway has been revealed as per the National Takeaway Awards

Jade Hayden

Hook it to our veins.

It may be early, but it’s never too early for Chinese.

Special fried rice. Chicken balls. Sweet and sour sauce and a load of prawn crackers.

Heaven on a plate, in a tray, from a bag, or wherever you happen to be pulling it from.

At this stage of the game it honestly doesn’t matter. If it’s got curry on it, a bit of spice, and an absolute mound of fried noodles on the side, it’ll do.

That’s what makes a good Chinese takeaway, after all.

And lucky for us, it appears as though the perfect Chinese does indeed exist right here in Ireland all the way up in Letterkenny.

Co Donegal’s Bamboo Court was voted the best Chinese takeaway in the country at last night’s Just Eat National Takeaway Awards.

The ceremony took place in Dublin’s Twenty Two on Tuesday night, and saw a whole host of takeaways battling it out for prizes in 19 categories.

Among the winners were Bamboo Court for their delicious Chinese, Rathfarnham’s Bombay Pantry for their incredible Indian, and Kevin St’s Boojum for their tasty Mexican treats.
