Kerry Katona faces backlash for choice of daughter's breakfast

You can't do anything right as a parent.

Whether it's how you dress your children, what you feed them, or how you react when they throw a tantrum in the middle of the pasta aisle in Tesco, somebody somewhere is going to have a bit of a complain about it.

At the end of the day, most people are only ever doing their best.

We're going to go ahead and assume that Kerry Katona is one of those people.

A mum-of-five, the singer and sometimes reality TV star often takes it upon herself to share some pictures and videos of her children as she goes about her day-to-day life.

And this week was no different.

Recently, the mum took to Instagram to share a video of herself dancing around the kitchen making breakfast for her youngest daughter, Dylan-Jorge.

The three-year-old was having some cereal and before she gave the bowl to her daughter, Kerry spooned a few spoons of sugar into it.

Grand, nothing totally awful or controversial here at all.

Except some people thought there was, and they decided to give their opinion on Kerry's parenting skills.

"Sugar on Cheerios... Sugar on breakfast that’s filled with sugar! That’s so bad for their teeth @kerrykatona7 Too much sugar on your kid's cereal not very healthy for them," said one person.

"Giving them empty nothings then adding more sh*te on top. Wonder why her kids can’t stay awake after each feed cause there in comas lol," said another.

The way they were going on, you'd swear Kerry had no idea that sugar was bad for your health - who knew?

The problem here, as with most mum-policing, is that people don't know what Kerry does and doesn't give her children to eat every minute of every day.

For all we know, she could be feeding her children minimal sugar throughout the week and they like having a bit of a treat some times.

Either way, it's not really any of our business so we won't be commenting on it.

Maybe some Instagram users should take a leaf out of our book.
