Love it or hate it: Marmite cream cheese is coming to a store near you

Jade Hayden

Confirmed: would try.

There’s plenty to like about Marmite.

There’s also plenty to dislike… which is absolutely the reason that people across the globe simply cannot decide whether it’s tasty or not.

Is it worth the hype? Is it a non-event? Is it time that we please stop talking about whether it’s good or not and move on with our lives?

Probably, but until then we might as well steam roll ahead and continue making Marmite based products that are either going to delight – or vividly shock – the public.

M&S are the latest lads to hop on the Marmite train, and they’re so willing to divide that they’ve created not one, not two, but three Marmite products.

Delicious. Or not. Who can honestly say for sure?

Marmite Cream Cheese (€3.70 140g)

Yep, cream cheese – with Marmite.

Spread it on a bagel, eat it straight out of the tub, or simply be baffled as to why it tastes so much like Marmite.

Marmite Creamy Butter (€4.40 100g)

As above, really.

Marmite on toast is actively already a thing – so why not make it more of a thing with this actual Marmite butter? Go on.

 Marmite Cheese Twists (€1.60)

Marmite. Pastries.

Enough said, tbh. (And these do actually look quite tasty, not going to lie).

“Partnering with an iconic and loved brand like Marmite is the stuff dreams are made of, so when the opportunity arose to collaborate with them on these new and innovative products, we knew the end result was going to be delicious,” said April Preston, Director of Product Development for M&S.

“I am personally a huge lover of the Marmite Creamy Butter, it’s brilliant stirred through vegetables like broccoli and mixed into pasta dishes for the family. I can’t wait to see what customers make of the range!”

We’ll be the judge of that, tbh.

All products will be available to buy in M&S stores from March 27.
