M&S is launching a Percy Pig sauce and yes, you do need to try it

Jade Hayden

Welcome to 2020, everyone.

A time of turmoil, confusion, and sauces based on your favourite confectionary-based pig.

Seemingly it is not enough now for a sweet to simply exist in its solid form. No, it must be melted down to create a sauce, one that is equal parts sweet and fruity, thick and robust, pink and pig-esque.

The sauce in question is, as you may very well know, Percy Pig sauce – created by M&S to ring in the new decade, excited a few people, and send the rest of us into a warranted crisis.

Perfect for ice cream, cookie dough, or warm chocolate cake, the sauce has been created in a bid to make desserts that little bit sweeter.

However if you – like most people – jump to savory once you hear the word ‘sauce,’ chances are you have been horrified, disgusted and shocked by this product – only to eventually to discover that the Percy Pig sauce isn’t for your burger, chips, and pizza crusts, but for your sweet treats instead.

Although you could probably use it for dipping too. If you’re anyway that inclined.

“Percy is getting saucy!” says M&S. “Yep, that’s right, all the flavours of Percy Pig in a pink (of course) squirty sauce.”

“It is delicious on pretty much anything – we recommend trying with ice cream or even drizzled over pancakes.”

Amazing on “anything,” you say?

The product is suitable for vegetarians too, meaning that no piggies were harmed in the making of the no doubt controversial sauce.

Dig in, etc.
