This Is Not A Drill: The Whiskey Laced Hot Chocolate Cocktail Has Arrived

What is cosier in this weather than curling up by the fire with the papers and a cup of warm hot chocolate? Adding dash of whiskey? Hells yes.

Well now our lives can be totally fulfilled with this Hot Chocolate Cocktail that I came across by foodie blogger Rebecca on her website, Sugar and Soul.

Did I mention that this little cup of heaven also contains marshmallows? Oh, thank you Rebecca, thank you.

If you want to start your festivities a little earlier than usual why not make it yourself this evening. It is easy to do and only takes about 15 minutes from start to finish.

S'Mores Hot Chocolate Cocktail

1 cup of milk and a cup of cream

1/2 a cup of chocolate chips

1 crushed biscuit

2 tbsp honey

1/4 cup of chocolate syrup

1/4 cup of chocolate pudding mix powder

2 oz whiskey

Add the milk and cream to a pot on medium heat. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or in a separate pot (string at 30 second intervals until melted) Dip the rim of your mugs into the chocolate and then dip it into the crushed biscuit. Add the remaining melted chocolate to the warm milk and cream. Then add the honey, the chocolate syrup and whisk together. Add the pudding mix little by little. Simmer and remove from the heat. Whisk in the whiskey and pour into your mugs. Top with marshmallow.
