If you are desperately trying to manage time and have a healthy diet, you are not alone. Who can do that? One day you nail it with a scrambled egg brekkie and the next day you are a muffin-on-the-run-kinda-gal. The consistency is that you have no consistency, right?
Try these ridiculously fast snacking alternatives. Each recipe can be frozen into three individual bags for your busy week – simply blend them quickly when you wish. So. Amazing.
Chocolate-orange delight
3 oranges
4 strawberries
2 small bananas, peeled and sliced
3 cups of coconut water
3 scoops of raw vegan protein chocolate (to be added when blending)
Freeze: 3 portions divided evenly. Pop into a bag or container.
Tasty strawberry, mango & banana
3 cups of coconut milk
2 small bananas, peeled and sliced
1 mango cut into chunks, no skin
5 strawberries, with greenery removed
5 large spoonfuls of any coconut or greek yogurt
Freeze: 3 portions divided evenly. Pop into a bag or container.
Cleansing apple-flavoured combo
1 cup of carrot juice*
2 cups of orange juice*
2 cups chopped kale, ribs removed
3 cups of spinach
3 apples cored & chopped
12 small broccoli florets
3 scoops of natural casein protein (to be added when blending)
Freeze: 3 portions divided evenly. Pop into a bag or container.
Any leftovers?
If you have made extra smoothie mixture, just make popsicles. You can buy little DIY packs from Ikea and make multi-coloured treats similar to the ones below. Absolute yum-ness.
