Red wine brownies have arrived and they're AMAZING
Now; tell us, who doesn't love a good, gooey brownie? And hands in the air who doesn't enjoy a lil' glass of red wine every now and again (and again and again)?
We know. And some of us are have even been known to indulge in the two together, as chocolate and red wine are, in fact, pretty much a match made in foodie heaven.
If this is you, mamas, you will probably be more than a little excited (we sure were!) to discover that you can now roll these two favourite treats into one mouth-watering, delicious indulgence; red wine brownies.
Yes, you did read that correctly. We are telling you to pour wine into your cake batter and once you do, believe us, you will never look back.
Even better? Making these could not be easier. All you have to do (seriously, this is genius) is buy a packet of brownie mix in the shop, replace the suggested water in the recipe for red wine and voila; life as you know it will change forever.
Here is a "recipe" we got from Mountainviewvinyard.com:
Red Wine Brownie Recipe
1 box dark chocolate brownie mix
1/4 cup red wine
1/3 cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius and grease 8″x8″ baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine wine, oil, and an egg. Mix well. Stir in brownie mix. Spread batter in prepared pan.
Bake for 45 minutes. Cool completely. Serve with wine (obvs!)
