Then, of course, there is the much-coveted ‘Teasers’ variety – the sweets that come in boxes of Celebrations and are pretty divine.

Last month, rumour was abound that the Teasers were branching out on their own, launching as Maltesers Truffles.
Alas, and although we dared to dream, we didn’t spot them… until now, that is.

Instagram account New Foods UK shared a snap of the packaging and product along with the caption: “NEW PRODUCT ALERT!!
“So I found the new malteser truffles at @sainsburys. What more can I say than they are heaven!”
The post – understandably – then notched up 3.5K likes in the space of 24 hours.
And while we don’t have any Sainsburys in Ireland, we’re hopeful that the treats will make their way across the water asap. That and additional UK-based folk have stated on social that they were successful in finding the confectionary in Tesco.
Win.
Indeed, we were further encouraged by a post on the official Maltesers Facebook page.
Sharing a tempting photo of the truffles, the post read: “NEW Maltesers Truffles. So good you’ll find it hard to give them away…In stores now!”
That prompted thousands of likes and comments, and it’s clear that plenty of folk are currently scouring for the chocolate.
