Say hello to Aldi's new low-calorie wine and low-alcohol prosecco
We won't say no.
If you're on a new healthy eating regime or just want to cut down on calories then these wines are perfect for you. We all know that January can be a tough month, but if you still want to have a few drinks with the girls - and keep to your new healthy lifestyle - you still can with these delish wines.
Aldi has introduced low-calorie Zinfandel and Pinot Grigio and both sound absolutely delightful.
The Zinfandel comes in at 57 calories per 125ml serving and is described as:
"The Featherweight Zinfandel is an expertly crafted blend using Californian Zinfandel grapes, with a beautifully natural, vibrant pink colour and luscious, fresh strawberry aromas. The wine has a lively and full flavour of fruit juices. At only 5.5 percent ABV, it is the perfect aperitif and a great companion to fruity desserts."
The Pinot Grigio is only 52 calories per 125ml glass.
"This Featherweight white is made with the finest Pinot Grigio grapes, which gives the wine a typical straw yellow colour, synonymous with Pinot Grigio. The wine has fresh, crisp citrus notes with white peach aromas, as well as a full flavour with lasting finish. At only 5.5 percent ABV, it pairs beautifully with a light salad or seafood dish."
Both cost €4.49 and go on sale on January 20.
If you have decided to do Dry January then there are still a few options for you - there's even a choice of prosecco.
