
The Best Kid-Approved Snack Every Child Will Eat
Drumroll... it's Hummus, but not as you know it. We can probably all agree, there isn't a better snack for you or your kids. It's filling, has a healthy mix of protein and good carbs, is easy to serve, and it's packed with vitamins. It's also a brilliant one-handed dipping snack if you're breastfeeding. But what if your kiddos don't eat it? No sweat, add these two ingredients and they will:
Peanut butter and a teeny drizzle of honey.
Then call it, 'peanut butter dip' – very few kids won't eat this! Just add apple slices or crackers for dipping. Simples.
What's in it:
1 can of chickpeas
1 heaping tablespoon of peanut butter (we love the Meridian brand for the healthiest variety)
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 teaspoons of honey
Blend all the ingredients together in a food processor (or hand blender) until you get the texture you like.
