These popcorn Halloween hands are the perfect seasonal treat.
Halloween is a really fun time of year for children, but can be stressful and time-consuming for mums. Between decorating the house, organising costumes and getting the house stocked up with sweets for the trick-or-treaters, it can be exhausting!
Sometimes you think it would be easier to just be like Rachel from Friends and start handing out cheques to the barrage of callers.
Not to mention you’re conscious of the amount of sugar kids are consuming at Halloween. It can’t really be helped but we have the easiest treat that’s low in sugar, easy to make and looks really effective.
Mums, if you’ve never made Halloween popcorn hands, you need to. They only require four items and are cost effective.
To make the hands you will need:
-
- Popcorn
- Malteesers
- Clear disposable gloves
- Ribbon/Twine
You can use microwave popcorn or buy ready-made to speed up the process and the sweet treat is entirely up to personal preference – you just need something that will differentiate the end of the finger. Popcorn and Maltesers are just a classic combination in our opinion.
All you need to do to assemble the Halloween hands is just pop a Malteeser into the end of each finger of the glove and then fill with popcorn. Secure with a little ribbon or twine.
This treat is lower in sugar than traditional Halloween goodies but will still win you significantly more brownie points than handing out nuts or fruit! Popcorn is a wholegrain snack which is a good source of fibre and will give kids plenty of energy for all the Halloween games.
