There’s a new fancy crisp in town

Katie Mythen-Lynch

The summer’s rumoured Prosecco drought put the fear of god into fizz fans everywhere, but leading supermarkets have come up with a tasty alternative should the bubbles run out over Christmas.

Not to be outdone by fancy rivals Marks & Spencer, who conjured up a Winterberries and Prosecco snack complete with edible sparkles during the summer, Tesco has released its very own tribute to the fizzy lady petrol.

Their Prosecco & Elderberry Flavour Potato Crisps are available now, promising a flavour reminiscent of ‘sweet, delicately fragrant elderberry with the festive fizz of Prosecco’.
