There’s a festive champagne afternoon tea at this Dublin hotel

Cathy Donohue

five-star Dublin hotel

The perfect festive treat mamas.

We love a good afternoon tea and there are some gorgeous packages available throughout the country including this delectable Philip Treacy millinery inspired option from the g Hotel.

We’ve just discovered another one and it’s a must-have for all the closet Christmas fans and the perfect treat for busy mums in the run-up to the festive season.

The Perrier Jouët Enchanting Christmas Lounge has just launched in The Westin, a five-star hotel just opposite Trinity College.

To add to the fairytale experience, The Perrier Jouët Enchanted Tree will appear for a two-month residency and wait for it, the tree’s design allows its guests to pick a champagne flute from its branches…faaaaancy.

There are just two Enchanted Trees worldwide (anyone else getting Enid Blyton vibes) and as it’s only here for a limited time, we’ll have to see what all the fuss is about.

The afternoon tea experience is available between 12 and 6 pm from now until the 5th January and if you’d rather an evening catchup date, there’s an alternative offering in the form of champagne and canapes.

Think festive and champagne inspired creations with sweet treats, hello white raspberry champagne truffle, and savoury delights such as oak smoked salmon.

The convenience of its location is only second to the luxury of the afternoon tea menu and after hearing what’s on the menu, we’re eager to find a date for this festive experience.

This experience is €58 per person and this includes a glass of the boutique Perrier Jouët champagne so if you’re in the mood for a swanky soirée, this is where it’s at.
