You scream, I scream… for edible ice cream bowls!

Just one scoop of ice cream always leaves me wanting more, but now with these adorable edible bowls we can enjoy the ice cream and eat the bowls too!

Edible ice cream bowls

Ingredients:

  • A bowl full of colourful sprinkles (aka hundreds and thousands)
  • Balloons
  • White chocolate
  • Heat-proof bowl
  • Saucepan of boiling water
  • Baking paper

Directions:

1. Wash the balloons, pat dry and then inflate to the desired size (the bigger the balloon, the bigger the bowl, the more ice cream we get to eat).

2. Melt the white chocolate by placing it in a bowl over a pot of boiling water or melt in a bowl using a microwave (stirring frequently to ensure that it doesn’t burn).

3. Dip the bottom of the balloon into the melted white chocolate, allow to set slightly before pressing into the sprinkles, ensuring the balloon is well coated.

5. Lay out the baking paper and allow the sprinkled balloons to set on the baking parchment. When the white chocolate is firm, pop the balloon, carefully remove the balloon et voila! Fill bowls with delicious soft scoop ice cream and enjoy.
