Yummy (healthy) treats dad can help the kids make this mother’s day

Trine Jensen-Burke

You know how easy it is to reach for the Hobnobs when the munchies kick in?

Well, if you have these in the freezer it might be easier to lay off the biscuits (or Bounty bars), ladies. The good news? The kids will love them (and think they are getting an actual sweet treat) too! And they will love giving them to you on mother’s day on Sunday. The best part is that dad can help! (or anyone with a sweet tooth!)

All you need to make these Banana Frozen Yogurt Bites is:

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas (sliced 1/2 inch thick)
  • 2 cups yogurt (your favorite flavor, I use the Greek natural kind )
  • sprinkles (optional, but it does make them look so much more like actual sweets!)

Instructions

Using a spoon, dip your banana slice into the yogurt and place banana on cookie sheet covered with wax or parchment paper. Repeat process with each banana. Top each banana with sprinkles. Place cookie sheet in freezer for 2-3 hours or overnight.

Enjoy!
