Aldi is selling a spider catcher for €8.99 and it’s sure to sell out within minutes

Cathy Donohue

Spider season is in full swing and they’re literally everywhere at the moment.

Aldi this week announced plans to introduce a spider catcher to stores and the news has been met with great approval, no major surprises there.

Spiders and their many varieties have been the subject of much discussion at the Her desk in recent days, partly due to their tendency to appear out of nowhere in the worst possible places.

The bathroom, the hot press, the wardrobe…you name it, they’ll find a way to pop up when you least expect it and honestly I’m so over spiders and their pesky little ways.

While some are smaller in size and therefore not as scary, there has been an increase in larger spiders of late and that has caused some concern.

It will be priced at €8.99 and the product description reads as follows:

“Gentle bristles for harmless removal of spiders, moths and daddy longlegs in hard-to-reach areas”.

The new tool is designed to allow you to pick up the spider and safely deposit it outside and with the plastic attachment measuring 68cm, you won’t have to come in close contact with them.

While some see spiders and their creep-crawly friends as a mere inconvenience, others have a genuine fear of these creatures and it can be difficult if you have to deal with them on your own and you’re properly terrified.

We have a feeling that Aldi’s latest product will be a major hit with customers and if you want to nab one for yourself, mark August 25 in your diary.
