Saoirse Ronan just put her Wicklow house up for sale and the interiors are DIVINE

The star did the place up herself.

Anna O'Rourke

Acting legend, Irish cultural ambassador, tea lover and now interior design queen – Saoirse Ronan is a woman who does it all.

Saoirse has just put her Co. Wicklow home on the market, giving fans a glimpse into her world and her impeccable taste in home decor.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom house on the New Road in Greystones is for sale with a guide price of €1.5 million. The star bought it in 2017 for €1.4 million but has barely managed to spend time there due to her work in the US.

Still, the time and effort she put into making it her own is reflected in the interiors. The house wouldn’t look out of place in one of Vogue magazine’s ’72 questions’ videos.

Its overall feel is stylish and modern but still warm and inviting; a seaside hideaway fit for a Hollywood actress looking to get away from it all.

The front door opens on to a large, bright reception area. Through another door is the kitchen, the real highlight of the house.

Saoirse “painstakingly designed and decorated” this room “to be practical, comfortable and aesthetically impressive all in equal measures,” according to the auctioneer’s description. It’s “where this house truly becomes a home”.

Off the kitchen is a cosy living area with a wood burning stove.

Another, more formal sitting room features bay windows, rugged wooden floors, a marble fireplace and a pair of gorgeous moss green couches that we can only assume Saoirse won’t be leaving behind when the place is sold.

Upstairs each of the five bedrooms bar one has its own “generous” bathroom. A bedroom close to the master bedroom has been converted into a walk-in wardrobe to create a space “comparable to a hotel suite in uptown New York”.

Viewings, strictly by appointment, are due to start this week.
