Summer is finally here.

And while we have been steadily making our way through the ‘to read’ pile that has been sitting beside our bed through the first half to the year, the new season is bring plenty of new page-turning reads.

Whether you’re looking for a novel you can dive into while sitting poolside or simply want a brilliant book to curl up with on the weekends, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered.

Here are five books that we are absolutely adoring this June.

Social Creature by Tara Isabella Burton

What is it about? 

Gossip Girl meets the Talented Mister Ripley, the story follows a young woman named Louise, who is struggling to survive in New York as nothing seems to be going her way.

One day, she meets Lavinia: a rich, charismatic young woman who has everything that Louise wants – and she soon finds herself caught up in her new pal’s world.

How Do You Like Me Now? by Holly Bourne

What is it about?

What is it about?

Who Is Vera Kelly? by Rosalie Knech

When is it out? June 12 – and you can get it here.

What is it about?

Vera Kelly goes from working the night shift at her local radio station in New York one day to working as a spy in Argentina the next.

But her mission – wiretapped a local congressman and infiltrating a group of student activists – leads to more than she bargained for after she gets stranded and abandoned in the middle of a coup.

She ends up having to take extreme measures to save herself, making some pretty unexpected allies along the way.

When Life Gives You Lululemons by Lauren Weisberger

When is it out? June 5 in North America – and you can get it here (they ship to Ireland).

What is it about?

Emily Charlton, the former first assistant to Miranda Priestly, is now an image consultant – although, admittedly, things are a bit difficult at the moment.

Her job eventually ends up taking her to Greenwich, Connecticut, where she lands the client of a lifetime.

And, naturally, plenty of over the top and page-turning drama ensues.
