Justin Trudeau has welcomed Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and baby Archie to Canada with a heartwarming message.

Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, said:

“Prince Harry, Meghan, and Archie, we’re all wishing you a quiet and blessed stay in Canada. You’re among friends, and always welcome here”.

Over the weekend, it was announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their baby son Archie are to spend the festive season in Canada.

A statement shared with royal reporter Omid Scobie read:

“The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both. Whilst this email confirms the country they are taking their family time in, for security reasons we will not be releasing any further details and request that their privacy is respected”.

Meghan lived in Canada for seven years during her time working on TV show Suits and now is the perfect time to share a place so special to her.

“The Duke of Sussex has been a frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to The Duchess for seven years before she became a member of the Royal Family.

“They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son.”

Harry’s brother Prince William, his wife Kate Middleton, and their three children are to spend Christmas Day with the Queen at her Sandringham residence.

Their country home, Anmer Hall is very near and so it will be easy to make the journey to and fro. It has been rumoured that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will join their parents for mass on the morning of the 25, a royal tradition practiced every year.
