Brides ALL agree that this is the most annoying thing that can happen before a wedding

Olivia Hayes

We totally get this one, in fairness.

While your wedding is supposed to be one of the most special days of your life, it can also be one of the most stressful ones.

And it’s not only the day itself, it can be (and mostly is) the lead up to it that’s super stressful. So, one thing that a bride does not need is for someone to not RSVP to the wedding.

Taking to Reddit, the bride posted a meme along with the caption:

“I had quite a few people do this for my wedding. I shouldn’t have to chase you down for an answer…”

Many other brides replied to the thread, and came with their stories of wedding RSVPs.

Some complained about people getting back to them on various platforms.

“Don’t do verbal RSVPs if you are given a reply card. People forget or word is not communicated back to the proper person.

“I also don’t like text or similar RSVPs because it forces someone to gather all the various responses from different threads or platforms. Wedding planning is much easier if all you have to do is sort thru one stack of rsvp cards.”

While another complained about her parents.

“I said yes and showed up but I had no seat because my parents apparently mentioned to the bride I probably wouldn’t go.”

However, someone did come up with quite a simple solution.

“Honestly I’m thinking of putting that as a disclaimer in my invites (please rsvp by this date, if no response we will assume you are not attending).”

Noted.
