Congratulations!
A huge congrats is in order for Louise McSharry, she has just welcomed a baby boy.
The 2FM presenter announced the news this morning on Instagram, simply writing: “Welcome, Ted.”
What a gorgeous name!
Louise announced she was pregnant back in November, posting an image of Gordon and their son Sam to the social media site.
“Delighted to say that these two and I are going to be welcoming a new family member in 2019.
“(A baby. I’m having another baby. Just in case you thought I meant a dog or something.)”
Louise, who suffered with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2014, was told that the chemotherapy treatment she underwent to treat the disease meant she could have trouble getting pregnant.
“The treatment which had saved my life had also decimated my egg count,” she previously said.
“Where I should have been at 35 or 40 on the scale of being able to conceive, I was a two. I was a two, and I was pissed off.”
Luckily, the couple were able to have a baby and welcomed their now two-year-old son Sam in 2016.
“We made a decision that we’re not going to stress about whether or not it happens again,” Louise has said.
“If we decide to try again, we’ll try again.”
We’re delighted to see their family growing!
