Coronation Street newcomer Michael Bailey is said to be set for a major new storyline.
The Baileys have been settling into Weatherfield nicely since they arrived earlier this year, with many members of the family playing key parts in massive plotlines.
However, it looks like Michael – the eldest of the Bailey’s sons – is set for a dramatic showdown later this year, as his ex girlfriend and his daughter arrive in town.
A soap insider told The Sun that Michael “won’t know what’s hit him” when his ex arrives.
They explained:
“When she told Michael she was pregnant he didn’t react well. The flaky self-professed entrepreneur disappeared for a week and proved to her just how immature he is.
“She knew he wouldn’t be a good father so cut him out of her and their daughter’s life before the birth.
“He didn’t do much to try and find her and has moved on so he’s going to be shocked when they both turn up on the cobbles.”
His daughter’s name is said to be Tiana – and Michael won’t be the only one who is reeling when she and her mum arrive on the cobbles.
The soap source said:
“Aggie and Ed are going to be shocked to find out they are already grandparents but with the struggles they’re going through, they’re disgusted with Michael for abandoning his child.”
The characters are already have reportedly begun filming scenes for Corrie, so it looks like they’ll be on screen sooner rather than later.
