Corrie’s Peter Barlow set to have another affair in the New Year

Coronation Street’s Peter Barlow is set to have a busy few weeks.

In the lead up to 2019, he becomes the owner of a snooker club on Victoria Street – although Kirk and Dec both try to convince him it is haunted.

He manages to get them back – and scare them off – with some help from his on-off partner, Carla (who is convinced that the club is a bad idea, anyways).

The pair play a game of snooker on New Year’s Eve, with Carla telling him that he has to pull out of the sale if she manages to win.

The chemistry between them leads them relive their past, sparking a possibly reconciliation.

And then he gets a boat, curtesy of Carla, which he is determined to restore and then sail off to the Caribbean – although that doesn’t quite go to plan.

However, before his boating plans turn to disaster, Peter is reportedly set to be involved in another big storyline.

The Sun report that he strikes up an affair with Abi Franklin in the New Year – but before his other big storyline (namely, the boat Carla bought him going up in flames).

The publication added that the scenes are expected to have “a bit of the old Corrie comedy”, which is probably a good thing considering all the drama Weatherfield residents are in for this Christmas.

A source added:

“Abi seems to want a full-blown relationship but clearly Peter is just up for sex.

“It’ll play out in the New Year, before Peter’s other big storyline which see his boat go up in flames.”

We can’t imagine Carla will take this too well.
