It’s going to be “classic Corrie.”
Steve McDonald and Tracey Barlow are going to be saying ‘I do’ on Coronation Street next week – and there’s going to be plenty of drama.
Heartbroken new bride Tracey is reportedly set to get her revenge on Steve, who cheated on her with Leanne Battersby, in a really big way after tying the knot.
The Sun report that the couple are going to be heading to Morocco for their honeymoon.
And Tracey decides to wait until they’ve already jetted off to get her revenge: nicking her new husband’s passport and flying home without him.
A source told the publication:
“Coronation Street lost its humour a bit under the previous regime, but new boss Iain MacLeod is keen to bring it back.
“Tracy initially thinks he’s been doing the deed with Abi Franklin but as viewers know, it’s Leanne.
“This storyline will have fans laughing in their armchairs again. It’s classic Corrie.”
The scenes are set to play out later this month, after the explosive week that will see a life-threatening car crash, two weddings (Daniel and Sinead as well as Steve and Tracey) and a shock death in Weatherfield.
Last week, Steve was caught in bed with Leanne – by Tracey’s brother, Peter, to make things even worse.
He had assumed that Tracey, who will be confronting him on their wedding day, was offering him a “free pass” to cheat before they got married.
However, the pass was actually to the spa where they were meant to be holding their wedding.
The upcoming wedding is Steve’s seventh marriage – and his second to Tracey.
