Disneyland to build new themed area solely dedicated to Frozen

Paul Moore

If you’ve another holiday plan, let it go. This is bound to be popular.

While the world of serial killers and princesses aren’t that similar, we’d be extremely interested to be Jonathan Groff’s headspace for a day.

Why? Well, to most people, he’s Holden Ford in Netflix’s drama Mindhunter, but for millions of people around the world, he’s more famously known as Kristoff from Frozen.

Yep, same guy.

Groff’s character in Mindhunter might spend the majority of his time profiling killers, but we’re certain that the latest addition to Disneyland is going to make an absolute killing because as far as franchises are concerned, Frozen is a behemoth.

Aside from the sequel being released later this year, a new Frozen-themed land is set to open in Disneyland Paris too.

“As part of the fully immersive land, guests will see in the distance the snow-capped mountain of Arendelle opposite a magnificent lake, with an attraction that will take them to the center of the Kingdom,” Disney said.

At present, there is no confirmation as to when new area will be completed, but Disney have plenty of other new additions in the coming months.

From 11 January to 3 May 2020, Disneyland Paris are introducing a host of new Frozen-themed additions.

The festivities will include a new show four times a day on the parade route, starring Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven. A brand-new interactive adventure will also open its doors at the Animation Celebration in Walt Disney Studios Park titled: Frozen: A Musical Invitation.

Disneyland in Paris will also be adding a new Marvel-themed hotel, an Avengers Campus and Star Wars areas.

If any of you have kids – or if you’re a big kid yourself – then after hearing all this news of new Frozen, Star Wars and Marvel attractions, we’re certain they won’t be able to… let it go… without nagging you to make the trip
