The mum-of-two brought the audience to tears last night.

Linda McLoughlin took to the stage on Ireland’s Got Talent last night to perform her version of Beyoncé’s mega-hit, Listen. Yes, the song choice made the judges wince thanks to its difficulty (and tendency to be murdered by hopefuls) with Louis calling it an “ambitious choice”.

The 38-year-old, who hails from Cabra but lives in Meath, was clearly nervous as she took to the stage and admitted she “lacked self-belief”.

But Linda quickly left the judges and viewers wondering why as she knocked her performance out of the park.

The nervous mum’s performance left judge Denis in tears as the rest of the judging panel beamed with smiles. As the song ended, it wasn’t long until Louis made Linda’s night by hitting the Golden Buzzer, sending her straight through to the semi-finals.

“She has the most amazing voice, she doesn’t know how good she is,” Louis said of the Dublin-native.

“She is so nice and normal and she looks amazing. She sang her heart out.”

With her children watching side-of-stage, Linda made sure to perform to them too, a point that wasn’t missed by Jason Byrne.

“I was watching you sing that for your family. You kept checking into the wings to your kids and your husband – that is just beautiful.”
