It was all kicking off last night.
EastEnders fans were fuming at their television screens on Tuesday after Linda just stood at the window and watched as Mick was kidnapped.
Viewers were baffled as to why the Queen Vic landlady didn’t try and help him by screaming or calling 999 when she saw the thugs bundling him into the back of a van.
Tuesday night’s episode ended on a dramatic cliffhanger after Mick was grabbed by men in hoods and shoved into the vehicle.
And Linda watched it all unfold from the window in the pub, with her face pressed against the glass.
Noooo! ?
Mick put up a good fight, but it looks like he won't be joining Linda for pudding!! ?⚠️#EastEnders will be back on Thursday at 7.30PM.⚠️ pic.twitter.com/w1q1TjFpSs

But fans of the long-running soap were quick to point out she could have done a bit more to help.
So, all Linda did was just breath on the glass?! ? Doesn’t she know how to use a phone to dial the police? #EastEnders pic.twitter.com/n2b0DpOpIY

ffs why didn’t linda open the window and screamed for help, alerting the people in the square and markets, instead of gawping through the window?? #eastenders

Linda’s reaction to Mick getting jumped was a bit odd, has she done him over?! What was that all about last year when she was lying about her Mum??! #eastenders

Mick gave a good fight TBf! Surprised we didn't hear Linda screeching 'Mick!' at the end tho ? #EastEnders

So Linda looks out of the window and sees her man being roughed up and abducted by thugs and just stands there looking traumatised …
I don't know about anyone else but I'd have dived through that window and battered them before they even knew I was there ??♀️ #EastEnders— Rae Louise (@moonrae9) January 30, 2018
How is Linda just standing there watching her man get kidnapped? ? #Eastenders

Some other viewers were quick to point out that if Linda could see the ambush unfold, other residents of Walford could, too.
After all, it was in broad daylight.
I’m pretty sure if Linda was able to see Mick getting kidnapped, then other people in the street would have too #EastEnders

Why are Aiden's men wrestling a victim into the back of a van in broad daylight in a populated area? And why is Linda just staring instead of immediately rushing to help? #EastEnders

So how cheesy did everyone think the end of #EastEnders was tonight ? there was mick being bagged over the head in broad day light and people around everywhere with no help and then Linda just pressed up against the window watching not even scream ??

As if no one sees a kidnapping in Broad day light ? and as if Linda don't start screaming or taking pics or calling police #Eastenders

The kidnapping was orchestrated by Aiden, who grew suspicious of the Carters (and Mick, especially) after they found the cash to say the Queen Vic at the last moment.
The evil gangster is convinced that Mick must have been the own to swipe the money in the New Year’s heist – and grabbed the pub landlord to get the truth out of him.
