Emmerdale villager left fighting for life after shooting at Home Farm

The dramatic double-bill aired on Thursday.

Emmerdale fans were shocked after Debbie Dingle was left fighting for her life after she was shot at Home Farm.

The mechanic was wounded after she walked in on Ross Barton taking Joe Tate and Graham Foster hostage in vengeance over his acid attack.

It all began when, after discovering that they had been keeping secrets about his attack, Ross headed to Home Farm to confront Joe and Graham.

Instead of telling him the truth about Debbie, Joe ended up taking full responsibility for the attack – which led to Ross vowing to shoot him in revenge.

But after Graham jumped into protect Joe, there was a scuffle for the gun – which led to Debbie getting shot as she walked into the room, just as Ross accidentally fired the gun.

Everyone sprang into action to try and get her to the hospital as quick as they could, with Graham urging Joe and Ross to stick to the story she was shot during a failed burglary at the estate.

And while Ross and Joe were hopeful they would be able to save her, the emergency team rushed her into the hospital as her condition began to worsen.

Next week will see Cain Dingle on the warpath as he seeks out revenge on whoever was responsible for shooting his daughter.
