The Irish version of Say Yes To The Dress started on RTE2 last night. Following the same format as the American show, three brides-to-be were brought to a wedding dress shop and shown various styles of dresses.
With the help of the boutique owner and wedding planner Peter Kelly, aka Franc, the girls modeled the dress for their friends and family.
Just like the American show, there were lots of opinions given, some funnier than others. The best line of the night had to be, “the priest will have a heart attack if he sees them puppies hanging out.”
It also had touching moments, with insights into the girls relationships and backstory. Emotions ran particularly high when Cora Ann, one of the brides, found out that money from her late father would pay for the dress.
