The first trailer for Disney’s live-action adaptation of Aladdin is here

There’s still no sign of Will Smith’s Genie, though.

Ever since the live action remake of Disney’s Aladdin was announced, we’ve been eager to see how the 1992 animated classic would transfer into the real world.

And now it looks like the Genie has granted our wish.

Earlier this week, Will Smith shared the first look at the poster – which, admittedly, didn’t tell us much.

But Disney have now shared the first glimpse at the film and it looks like it’s going to be just as enchanting as the original.

It’s a teaser trailer so, again, fans don’t get too much information.

The description under the trailer reads:

“‘Aladdin’ is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.”

There’s a lot of sweeping shots of the desert landscape, as well as some caves as Arabian Nights plays in the background.

Early on though, a familiar red parrot swoops past and that’s got to be Iago.

It then cuts to the treasure room within the cave (with Never Had A Friend Like Me in the background), before showing Aladdin himself reaching for the lamp.

Sadly, no sign of Will Smith’s Genie – yet. We can’t imagine it will be too long, though.
