This Irish couple’s snowy back garden wedding ceremony is amazing

This is very special.

This is very special.

Irish couple Bernadette and John were due to get married at Naas registry office on Friday, but because the weather was so bad, due to Storm Emma, they were forced to cancel as the office was closed.

Naturally, they were disappointed. So, their neighbours rallied together to help them create a gorgeous winter wonderland in their back garden so they could still ‘get married’.

John and his neighbour, Will, got to work on a snow chapel and, from there, the plan came together.

Complete with a huge igloo at the end of the aisle, and lighting leading the way, they created a truly magnificent setting.

With John in a tux and Bernadette wearing a white dress and veil, the pair ‘got married’ in front of a small group of friends.

Their friend Katie acted as a photographer on the day and has shared the photos. Posting a collage video on YouTube, she said, “John & Bernadette were supposed to get married in Naas registry office on 2nd March 2018…. The beast from the Easy (sic) had other plans!!! We all rallied and built a snow chapel and planned a wedding for them!”
