It’s different for everyone.

Kathryn Thomas welcomed her first baby, a little girl she named Ellie, in March and has now opened up about losing her baby weight.

She revealed to Evoke that she was advised not to exercise for 12 weeks after the birth – something we’re sure was difficult for the fitness fanatic.

Letting her body recover from the pregnancy, she took it easy for those few months, and said: “She’s four months now and under doctors advice I did nothing, no exercise for 12 weeks after she was born.

“I’m only slowly building up to some workouts now.”

However, she has not decided to create her own fitness regime for expectant mamas.

Kathryn explained that she worked with her personal trainer, and put a lot of work into the process behind it.

“It had taken me so long to get pregnant, I had a lot of anxiety about what I could and could not do in terms of training and exercise.

“I did a lot of research on what was safe and not safe and had Roisin, my personal trainer, help me devise an exercise routine that I could do right the way through my pregnancy,” she said.
