Meghan Markle prefers her 30s to her 20s and says 'it takes time' to be happy

Meghan wrote about her 20s in a lifestyle blog she once had.

From the outside looking in, Meghan Markle appears to have it all. Once a cast member of the hugely successful TV show Suits, she is now an official member of the royal family, married to Prince Harry and has a baby on the way.

Not too shabby!

It seems that Meghan wasn’t always as self-assured and confident as she would now appear, however. In a lifestyle blog the Duchess of Sussex one had, entitled The Tig she shared her former insecurities.

According to The Express, on the now deleted platform she wrote:

“I am 33 years old today. And I am happy. And I say that so plainly because, well…it takes time. To be happy. To figure out how to be kind to yourself. To not just choose that happiness, but to feel it…My 20s were brutal – a constant battle with myself, judging my weight, my style, my desire to be as cool/as hip/as smart/as ‘whatever’ as everyone else.”

Meghan also wrote that as she got older, she learned that simply being herself is “enough,” and urged readers to find their own happiness.

Pretty refreshing to read that in her 20s, Meghan was a girl after our own hearts, just trying to figure it all out.

Well, she didn’t do a bad job of it.
