Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have taken their son, Archie Harrison, to his first ever royal engagement.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared an incredibly sweet video of the two of them taking their four-month-old to meet with retired Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
The footage was captioned ‘Arch meets Archie’, and showed Meghan cuddling the youngest royal as Harry beamed at his son.
Archie, who is making his royal tour debut, was wearing light blue dungarees with matching socks and a white long-sleeve top.
The video on the @SussexRoyal Instagram account shows Meghan tickling Archie’s stomach, as the little royal giggles.
According to The Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex joked with the Archbishop’s daughter Thandeka Tutu Gxashe that Archie would have to get used to the cameras in his life.
Ms. Tutu Gxashe joked that Archie was going to be “a ladies man” when he grew up.
In an Instagram post later on Wednesday morning, the Sussexes said they were “honoured” to introduce Archie to Archbishop, Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka.
Underneath a photo from their meeting, they said:
“The Archbishop, a globally respected figure in anti-apartheid movement, is one of the world’s great champions of equality, and has spent his life tirelessly battling injustice.
“Their Royal Highnesses have joined The Archbishop and Thandeka to learn more about the work of The Tutu and Leah Legacy Foundation, and see first-hand how they are focussing on global awareness of the critical issues affecting the world.”
